Profile of the Association

The Leicestershire & Rutland Bee Keeping Association was founded in 1882 and is a registered charity, currently our membership is around 200 beekeepers mostly located within the two English counties  of Leicestershire (pronounced Lester-shire) and Rutland.  Rutland is the smallest English county and borders the east of the county of Leicestershire.

How to Access Training

Our training courses are recognised for their high quality. To maintain standards we have had to limit numbers to ensure all participants have adequate access to our resources.

We are currently experiencing unprecedented demand for training and our policy is to give priority to existing members. At certain times of the year being a member may not guarantee a training place. To ensure all members have an opportunity to handle bees we will provide "Taster Sessions" for those unable to access training in their first year of membership.
